I’m thinking of buying Logitech WiLife digital video security system.
I just need four cameras. Two indoors and two outdoors.
Needs to be simple to install and "wireless" as possible, as I’m no electronic genius.
I want an opinion from a policeman.
Don’t say just get a gun, as I’m more likely to shoot myself or my family with a gun!

The TenM3 web service may provide a good option for you. It is simple to setup and use. Monitoring, Recording is done over the Internet and you can watch remotely from anywhere.
There is no software to install and you do not need to leave a PC running for the Video Security. Many indoor/outdoor wireless cameras are available – I like the Panasonic BL-C121.
Setup typically takes a few minutes and then you can use remotely from anywhere. Use it when you need it.
hi, let me explain shortly on how cctv camera systems work. well you could go for 4 camera and a recording box that is a standard nowadays. or a 4 camera plus a 24hr dedicated computer for activity logging and recording playbacks. Or branded ones has released a prominent plug and play camera only and monitor thru internet. you can basically eliminate the box recorder or bulky computer and monitors if your going to monitor your love ones in the house from office. this is called security hosting. with a correct information and product know how you can specifically pick your choice of brand, make and model that will last and enjoy.
